The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), has a requirement for DOCKSIDE repairs to be performed on the NOAA ship NANCY FOSTER at its homeport - Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, 1050 Register Street, Charleston, SC 29405. The performance period will be 45 calendar days with a start date on or about December 16, 2008 and ending on or about January 30, 2009. This acquisition is for DOCKSIDE repairs to the NOAA Ship NANCY FOSTER. The characteristics are:

All work shall be performed in accordance with detailed specifications and referenced NOAA Standard Specifications to be provided with the solicitation. Vessel will be available for inspection November 6, 2008 at Pier Papa, Old Navy Base, North Charleston, SC. Arrangements for inspections can be made by contacting Jamie LeCompte at 843-297-3426. Copies of the solicitation will only be posted on FEDBIZOPPS. The IFB posting will appear on or about November 1, 2008 and will be issued on a full and open basis. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price contract utilizing sealed-bid procedures outlined in FAR 14. The solicitation will include a requirement for bid, performance, and payment bonds.
