Company Description:
Established in 1989, Link Communications is a Billings, Montana based, women owned small business, specializing in the design and development of communications products. Originally, a complete line of repeater and linking products was offered for amateur and commercial radio. With the growing need for radio interoperability, a new product line was designed to offer solutions at an affordable price without sacrificing features. In-house engineer design and manufacturing, allows the company the ability to provide a spectrum of radio interface products and technical support. With present public safety and homeland security a high priority, Link Communications recognizes the significant role of effective radio communications among first responder agencies. The Tactical Communications Bridge (TCB) product line addresses the critical need for rapid communication between incompatible systems. With this product design, total interoperability is possible between two or more parties, allowing virtually unlimited project application. The TCB-1 is a solution for small systems, performing as the connection point between two radio systems. Interfacing is accomplished using the built-in radio settings database along with one of the custom radio interface cables. Located on the front panel is a switch that allows the local user to control the connection between the two radio ports. Utilizing a DTMF pad, the user can connect or disconnect the two radio ports with this built-in feature. The TCB-2 is ideal for larger more complex systems. Operating functionally the same as the TCB-1, it offers interoperability for up to 10 radios. Utilizing the color LCD touch panel display, the users can monitor a ports activity, input data and parameters without the need for a computer. If computer use is desired, the TCB-2 supports VOIP interfacing between it and the computer. Whether interoperability is needed for large or small systems, The Tactical Communications Bridge offers a solution.
