In business since 1975, The California Parks Companies began operating concessions in Lassen Volcanic National Park. Today, operations have expanded to over 16 locations throughout California.
California Guest Services, Urban Park Concessionaires and the Picnic People (dba’s of The California Parks Companies) are growth oriented, recreation service enterprises dedicated to enhancing the visitor experience in national, regional and local parks, through the provision of the highest quality products and services.
The California Parks Companies operates concessions outside the Bay Area at: Drakesbad Guest Ranch, Lassen Chalet and Manzanita Lake in Lassen Volcanic National Park, Big Basin Redwoods State Park in the Santa Cruz Mountains, Shasta Lake Campgrounds in Shasta County and Lake Camanche in the Gold Country and Diamond Valley Marina in Riverside County. Bay Area based operations include: Angel Island in the San Francisco Bay, San Pablo Reservoir in El Sobrante, Lake Del Valle in Livermore, Los Vaqueros Reservoir in Contra Costa County, Lake Chabot in Castro Valley, Little Hills Ranch in San Ramon, Castle Rock Park in Walnut Creek, Ardenwood Historic Farm in Fremont. In addition, TCPC operates the wholly owned subsidiary, Aardvark Deli & Catering in Hayward and is the Project Manager for Automated Gate Operations for Santa Clara County Parks.
